This new arrival just off our restoration assembly line is a Brunswick-Balke-Collender creation. Circa 1920 this table is from the Golden age of table that featured not only style but great durability. the extra heavy duty frame covered in highly figured, quarter sawn, oak veneer with solid, real Brazilian Rosewood rails and ivory diamonds. Pennsylvania 3 piece 1" slate, measuring 4.5 ' x 9'.
The legs feature a detailed Grecian inspired pilaster with Dental details. in the middle note the highly figured rift cut oak bands that wraps around the legs.
Years ago we had a very similar table that was was highlighted by chromed pewter casting that were spread throughout the table . Called a Northern and an article was published in Billiards Digest detailing this table, Dubbed the Knight in Shining Amour.
